Dr. Rob grew up in San Angelo, TX, where he started volunteering at a local vet hospital and rescue.  He always had an interest in caring for animals and this was the first time he turned that interest into passion.  After graduating high school he went to work as a veterinary technician and began his college career at the University of Vermont. This is where he discovered his passion for large animal medicine, particularly dairy medicine.  After transferring to Texas A&M to finish his undergraduate degree he began working at the A&M AgriLife Extension and further developed his skills around production animal medicine until his graduation in 2009. In 2016 Dr. Rob graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine. He continued his veterinary training in animal welfare and public health and began work as an Official Veterinarian for the Scottish government, overseeing slaughter plants in the south of Scotland. In 2019 an opportunity to move to the Texas hill country presented itself and he took a position as Medical Director at a new hospital in the Dripping Springs area. Dr. Rob helped grow the small startup into a successful practice.

In 2023 Dr. Rob launched Camino Veterinary Service, a mobile vet serving Blanco County and surrounding areas. He has straight-forward and honest approach to veterinary medicine and enjoys working with pet owners, farmers, and ranchers a-like. He specializes in hospice care in your family pet, health plans for any size flock or herd, and is USDA Accredited - Cat 2 for health certificates in all species.

When he’s not in his vet truck, Dr. Rob loves spending time with his wife and two children on their small homestead in Blanco. They keep busy with a small herd of goats, a few chickens and the odd tomato plant. Maybe you’ll run into us swimming, hiking, or camping somewhere in Central Texas. If you meet a rambunctious yellow lab named Turkey, say hi, you found us.
