Dr. Rob grew up in San Angelo, TX, where he started volunteering at a local vet hospital and rescue. He always had an interest in caring for animals and this was the first time he turned that interest into passion. After graduating high school he went to work as a veterinary technician and began his college career at the University of Vermont. This is where he discovered his passion for large animal medicine, particularly dairy medicine. After transferring to Texas A&M to finish his undergraduate degree he began working at the A&M AgriLife Extension and further developed his skills around production animal medicine until his graduation in 2009.
